A deck is a great way to spend time with friends and family during the golden days of summer. But if you’re looking for ways to make your deck area more functional, you can quickly transform your patio into an available space with a DIY wood patio table. These simple, cost-effective projects give you the flexibility to customize your area in an inexpensive, space-efficient way.
I’ve included a couple of different plan options for you to choose from. The main difference between the plans is the size of the table, but each one comes with the same materials, so you can adjust the number of legs and where they will be positioned on your patio.
If you’re not sure what materials to purchase, keep reading. I’ll also include a how-to guide on building your own DIY wood patio table, so all you have to do is follow along and make that perfect space addition to your home. The best part about these projects is that you can be creative and build a functional space from scratch. You have the freedom to mix and match different materials, create an aesthetically pleasing design, and enjoy the process with family and friends.
If you’re looking for a more straightforward look, opt for a shorter leg height. This option doesn’t require as much effort to place it on your patio as I have included in the other plans. You can easily mark off where you want your table legs to go simply by looking at where the table will be situated on your deck.
Whether you choose one of my two plans or make something unique, this project shows how to transform a simple space into something functional and elegant.
